Software developer and network engineer

From fibre optics and LoRaWAN radios to apps and backends, I build systems that work end to end, from the signal to the screen.

About

I’m Soheil Hashemi, and I work under the name Enzo Ivar. I’m an electrical engineer, specialised in telecommunications, and since 2021 I’ve led the IT and software development department at a telecom company.

My work has two ends. One is the physical and network layer: GPON, LoRaWAN, VoIP and routing. The other is software: APIs, mobile apps and web dashboards. Seeing a problem from both sides lets me build solutions that hold up on real hardware.

In daily development I also use AI tools such as Codex and Claude Code to ship faster and with more care.

Experience

2021 – present

Head of IT and Software Development

Behbood Ertebat Chehelsotoun Co.

  • Built the Behamad smart-home IoT infrastructure, including the Android app and the backend.
  • Developed the LoRaWAN network and infrastructure, plus the Network Server and Application Server.
  • Developed software for monitoring and controlling environmental sensors.
  • Run and maintain the company’s network infrastructure and internal equipment.
  • Designed and deployed VoIP communications on the SIP protocol.
  • Set up and manage the FTTH lab.
  • Developed software and firmware for fibre-optic modems.

Skills

Backend and APIs

I design REST APIs and backends that stay fast and easy to maintain, from IoT data ingestion to business services.

DjangoNode.jsFastAPI

Frontend

Dashboards and web apps in typed, component-based code that is easy to scale and refactor.

AngularAngularJSTypeScript

Mobile apps and PWA

One Flutter codebase for Android and the web, shipped as a PWA when a store release isn’t needed.

LoRaWAN networks

LoRaWAN end to end: gateways, network server and application server for low-power sensor networks.

LoRaWAN

MQTT servers

Setting up MQTT brokers that move device data reliably between sensors, gateways and apps.

MQTT

Encryption

Implementing AES-128 encryption to protect data between devices and servers.
